Tasker has also worked locally in TV and radio in western New York. After his playing days, Tasker enjoyed a successful career in broadcasting, serving as a football analyst for CBS Sports. He also played Rugby at Northwestern, where he was named MVP of the Big Ten Conference Tournament. After playing two years of football at Dodge City Community College in Kansas, Tasker transferred to Northwestern, where he went on to set a university record for the highest kickoff return average with 24.3 yards per return.
In 1987, Tasker recorded 20 special teams tackles and three forced fumbles while, in 1992, he posted 19 tackles. A member of the Bills Wall of Fame and 50th Anniversary Team, Tasker was a key member of the Bills’ teams along with Hall of Famers Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and Bruce Smith that played in four straight Super Bowls. In 1993, Tasker became the first special teams player to ever capture Pro Bowl MVP honors. Considered one of the greatest special teams players in NFL history, during his career Tasker was named to seven Pro Bowls (1987, 1990-1995) and all of those selections were complimented by first-team All-Pro honors. He was initially selected by the Oilers in the 9th round of the 1985 NFL Draft before being claimed by the Bills off waivers during the 1986 season.
